Happiness

I’ve been so darn happy lately.  I wake up cheery and go to bed cheery-a little smile seems to reside in my being.  What do I attribute this to?  My Lord, of course.

While current events, especially news of the worrisome pandemic, concern me, my cheery attitude is such a welcome voice in my head.  In the book of Acts, chpt. 2: vs. 25-28, “David said about him:

‘I saw the Lord always before me.  Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.  Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices; my body also will live in hope, because you will not abandon me to the grave, nor will you let your Holy One see decay.  You have made known to me the paths of life; you will fill me with joy in your presence.’

That’s it!  I’m actually joyful!!

Lord, help us all find our inner heart where you dwell:  our inner heart which is happy, joyful, trusting in you, and caring for others.  Help us delight in your will and follow your desire for us as we live our lives as followers of your Word.  Amen.
