With the new year comes different things to face in everyone’s life. Perhaps you have new goals to attain at work, a relationship to patch up, or health issues that need to be addressed. For me, I am looking forward to a knee replacement. Whatever your case, where are God and Christ in all this?
They are with us in our comings and goings, in our successes and failures. Their love envelops us. In Ephesians 3:17018, Paul states: “And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together will all the saints, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge-that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God.”
So with this depth of love, we WILL find our way through the new year with joy in our hearts. G.K. Chesterton said this: “Joy, which was the small publicity of the pagans, is the gigantic secret of the Christian.” Okay, Christians, find that joy and show it off! In this new year, I will feed off of this unfathomable love and greet the day with joy…I will do my best.
Sarah and Mike, We were so sorry to read about Don on Facebook yesterday. What an incredible man he was. Barb will be so lost for awhile. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all. Please give her a hug for me!
