Brighten your Day

Sometimes, I look for daily quotes to brighten my day.  I think many of us do – a little something to rest our mind on.  Here is one such quote I’d like to share.

Saint Augustine, alive from 354-430, wrote that, “To fall in love with God is the greatest romance; to seek Him the greatest adventure; to find Him the greatest human achievement.”  Those words couldn’t be more appropriate today.

Leaving the house with that quote in mind, I wondered what God would have in store for me today!  For a long time now, I’ve felt that my daily comings and goings are an adventure in finding out what God’s will is for me.  Each day is so different – will I run into an old friend, meet someone new, need to help somebody who’s having a bad day?

And let’s talk about God’s romance.  Does He love me?  How far can my arms stretch?  Not far enough!  God is limitless!  God is inside me, surrounding me through the love of my husband for me, in the trees and the grass of my front yard.  Yes, God is mysterious, but He is also very palpable, and oh, so individual.

Finding the Lord in the everyday can be difficult for some.  But I just say, LOOK AROUND!  God is everywhere.  Ready to be trusted, loved, praised, and thanked for his blessings.

So, head out your door with this quote in mind and see what the Lord brings for you today!

What a beautiful quote and reminder that each day we need to look for God’s plan for us. Open our hearts and listen…..He’s waiting with a plan.
    Thanks for the reminder Sarah.
