Children’s Books

My first two children’s books speak to some of God’s blessings and the Lord’s all-encompassing power and love.  These two books will be released in 2018.

God’s Earthly Blessings is a children’s book describing God’s omniscience and omnipresence in simple words for kids.  The book gives examples of the presence of God in everything that exists.  It depicts the love of God for us as shown through the many blessings of life that have been given to us.

Psalm 24 states that, “the earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it” (v.1).  1 Corinthians 10:26 asserts the same.  This book for children depicts this reality by describing a Lord that is everywhere, in everything; from land formations to the very air that we breathe.

Through this book, children learn that the world is a gift from God for everyone.  It describes a God whose love for life and creation extends even to the individual self.  It is not enough that we have a world in which there is beauty and grandeur, we have a Lord that “provides us with everything for our enjoyment” (1 Timothy 6:17).  The book gives a child hope and understanding that they are important to God and that their life has meaning because God loves them.

The second book, God’s Blessings of My Body, was inspired by Psalm 139.  The Psalm highlights God’s enduring presence and the Lord’s creation of our very bodies.  This children’s book describes Psalm 139 in simple terms for kids.  Be describing the miracle of the body, children learn that God intimately knows our bodies and personality.

The book highlights God’s presence within each one of us.  But more than that, the child learns that God is always with them.  God has created each one of us and will not let us be alone with Him.  Our bodies are truly wonderful.

Through the reading of this book, children can see the wonder of the body through examples, such as playing, eating, learning, and through their developing personalities.  These blessings from God show that the Lord is always with the individual, and that children can trust in the Lord and the amazing gift of life.
